Christian Lundin is an Associate Member of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA). He has over twelve years’ experience in the golf business, working previously as a green keeper at Halmstad & Albatross Golf Clubs before becoming an accomplished golf course architect.
Christian completed the EIGCA Education Course in 2007 during a two-year spell at Jeff Howes Golf Design in Ireland. Being based in Ireland gave Christian the opportunity to study the many great British & Irish links courses. It is on the traditional Irish links Christian finds his inspiration for strategy and playability, which he brings into his design work along with the aesthetic flair of a Scandinavian design legacy.
Christian became an Associate Member of the EIGCA at an awards ceremony in 2008 and returned to Sweden the same year to set up his own design firm. From his base in Gothenburg, he is continuing to change the face of Scandinavian golf.
Christian is a member of the board at Swedish Greenkeepers Association. He works closely with the Swedish Golf Federation, the Swedish Golf Course Owners Organization and the Swedish University of Agricultural Science conducting seminars on golf, golf development and golf architecture. He also has very strong ties with the Norwegian Golf Federation and was part of the committee that chose the Norwegian venue for the upcoming Solheim Cup 2018 tender bid.
